The Hotomatic® Gas Water Heater was invented and patented by W.E. McCorquodale in 1933. Many of these water heaters have been in continuous operation for over 50 years. The heavy copper coils will not rust, assuring instantly-produced clean hot water.

The operation of this heater is controlled by a standard type water heater thermostat, which results in a maintenance-free operation. Other makes of instantaneous heaters are controlled by pressure devices, which are difficult to service except by trained mechanics. Such heaters are manufactured in foreign countries; the Little Giant® is manufactured in Texas, U.S.A.

Another feature of the Little Giant® is that the copper coil only stores approximately two gallons of water at the temperature set on the heater's thermostat. This quantity of water is sufficient for all low-flow requirements, such as restroom lavatories and kitchen sinks. The instant hot water recovery will supply other hot water needs, such as pot sinks, dishwashers or everyday cleaning needs. When properly installed, it can be used to boost 140°F water to 180°F for automatic dishwashers.
